Dear Friends and Partners,
It’s hard to believe that GOD has allowed this ministry to reach 15 years old! I have been on staff the
longest since 2006, and yet I haven’t even been full-time for its existence.
Over the years, DCOM have sought to feed the spiritual and physical hunger in as many people as
possible. We have helped with utilities, rent, prescription medications (non- narcotics), LP gas, vehicle
gasoline, evictions, food pantry and clothing referrals, budgeting classes and credit repair program. The
most recent added ministries are DORM – Duplin Outreach Rebuilding Ministry- this ministry was
created to help make homes in Duplin County safer and healthier for the elderly, disabled, and lowincome
homeowners.
Back Pack Ministry this ministry provided 8,000 meals to school age children in
Duplin County during the school year of 2017-2018 beginning in September – June 2018. DCOM have 5
pantries located within the county, Kenansville – James Sprunt College, Wallace, Rose Hill and the
Charity Community and one Mobile Migrant pantry that functions during the school year.
DCOM accepts gently used clothes, shoes, jewelry, curtains, towels, sheets, household items, dishes,
glasses, etc., and furniture to be sold at our Thrift Store, located 227 W. Main Street, Wallace, NC.
(Blessings in Store).
The uniqueness of these programs is that they are managed and served with Volunteers. There is only
one paid staff (part-time.) Volunteers are very valuable part of our Ministries.
Over the years, we have sought to feed the spiritual and physical hunger in as many people as possible.
We give the LORD full sand sold credit of or whatever was accomplished. And we are so grateful that HE
moved in your heart to join us in our endeavors.
“This is the LORD’s doing; it is marvelous in our eyes.” Psalms 118:23 King James
