The Duplin Christian Outreach Ministries Thrift Store, known as Blessings in Store is located at 227 W. Main Street, Wallace, NC 28466

The money raised thorough thrift shop sales goes back into the community in the form of helping with, utilities, LP gas for heating homes, rent, prescriptions (non-narcotics), gasoline, free clothes for all who qualifies and is experiencing a crisis, Feed the Hungry Children program, Back Pack Ministry, DORM Program (help make homes in Duplin County safer and healthier for the elderly, those with physical disabilities, and low income homeowners), Money Management classes, teaches budgeting (free), Credit Repair Education (free), hygiene items, Thanksgiving meals to families, Christmas Giving Program and making referrals for food we have Four Food Pantries, Charity Community-Wesleyan Bethel Church, James Sprunt Community College, Kenansville, NC, Wallace Presbyterian Church, Wallace, NC and Rose Hill United Methodist Church, Rose Hill, NC. DCOM covers as much as we can and is always hearing something new that we can get involved in.

Whatever you’re searching for, there is a good chance you might find it in the thrift store.

There are shoes, designer handbags, clothes, specialized section for women plus sizes, pajamas, sheets, curtains, bed spreads, coats, children clothes, men clothes, suits, coats, toys, jewelry, dishes, books, small appliances, furniture and much more available at prices mostly $2.00. We are told we are about the cheapest Thrift Store in the area.

The Thrift store is managed and staffed by volunteers. As a nonprofit organization all the proceeds can go directly to help those who are experiencing crisis.  The volunteers are part of the draw for some of the thrift shop’s customers.  Volunteers have become friends with so many of the shoppers and they enjoy the relaxed Christian atmosphere.  If you are interested in volunteering or donating items you can call 910-285-5527 or 910-285-6000, email at dcom2005@duplinchristian.com.

The store accepts donations. You are welcome to bring your donations on the days that the store is open or call and someone will be glad to accept your donations. If you have large furniture items you cannot deliver you can call and arrange a pick-up time.

The thrift store, known as Blessings in Store hours of operations are Thursday, Friday and Saturdays beginning at 10:00 am until 4:30 pm.
